Boarding Saturday 14:00 - Mahe marina Seychelles - Sainte-Anne Marine National Park

The crew will meet you at 14:00 in the marina of Eden Island (it's about 10 minutes by taxi from the airport) for your boarding. Once on board, you will see your cabin and meet the other passengers and crew.

As soon as You and your crew are ready the yacht will then head to the Ste-Anne's National Marine Park, a magnificent, protected area where you can swim and explore the seabed. First Dinner at anchor and just before midnight another 3 hour trip to Silhouette island.

Silhouette is situated at 30 km northwest of Mahe. Hills covered by tropical trees are reminiscent of Mahe, coconut trees at the beach side evoke Praslin and its incomparable beaches with its granite rock formations give the impression of being in La Digue. A trail through the lush vegetation reveals the beautiful and exceptional tropical forest.
We will spend here all day and night at anchor. On Monday morning, just after breakfast we continue out trip to Cousin island.

Cousin island & Curieuse Island

Head for Cousin for a stopover in harmony with nature. Once privately owned, this island was bought in 1968 by the International Council for Bird Preservation. It is now a sanctuary for more than 300,000 birds (terns, warblers, fody, etc.) and about a hundred of giant tortoises. This little corner of paradise will delight the adepts of birdwatching.

Curieuse Island

Just less then a mile from Praslin, you will find the uninhabited Curieuse Island, a sanctuary for giant land tortoises. Some of them are over 200 years old! You can walk through its 3 km² and discover beautiful granite landscapes. It's also a perfect place to get out your fins, mask and snorkel and swim with hundreds of fish, or simply go to the beach and relax.

Head to Praslin with its splendid Vallée de Mai. This tropical forest has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. It is made up of endemic palm trees (about 30 metres high) with giant leaves and the famous coco de mer tree. You will have the opportunity to explore this spectacular forest during a guided hike. In the south-east of the island, you can also enjoy a swim in Ste-Anne's Bay.

A walk in the Vallée is enchanting. The path wanders in the near obscurity created by the enormous palm leaves of “Cocos de mer”.

Islands forms a beautiful sight with a great harmony of shapes and colours. Under the sea, the vision is equally attractive with thousands of fishes. Unforgettable snorkelling. Anchorage in front of the picturesque harbour of La Digue.

Your cruise continues to the shores of Cocos Island, whose seabed fascinates all snorkelling fans (surgeon fish, parrot fish, leopard rays, etc.). On the island, you will find the famous granite boulders of the Seychelles. This is the opportunity to take out your camera and take the most beautiful pictures!

To the south of Cocos, you will discover the charming Félicité Island. It will seduce you with its dense and wild vegetation. The peaceful atmosphere of its beaches lined with hundreds of palm trees and turquoise water invites you to relax.

La Digue

You reach La Digue, considered by many as one of the most beautiful islands of the archipelago. You can choose to walk the trails, take an oxcart or rent a bike to go all around the island. And if you want to learn more about the island's history, visit the Union Estate Farm, a former coconut and vanilla plantation.

Arriving at La Digue feels like sailing straight into a painting, brimming with brush strokes of blue, green and tan. The beaches here are spectacular, particularly Grand Anse and Anse Source d'Argent, which is strewn with pink granite rocks. Pedal over to Ile de Cocos for snorkeling or gawk at the rare Paradise Flycatcher (a beautiful black bird) at the Veuve Nature Reserve.

The use of spices such as ginger, lemongrass, coriander and tamarind are a significant component of Seychellois cuisine. Fresh fish and fruits are sold by street vendors in various places.
Coconut water and fresh juices are some of the beverages in Seychellois cuisine. Alcoholic drinks include the palm wine calou (or kalou), bakka rum and beers produced in the country such as Seybrew and Eku. Wine is obtainable at most Seychelles restaurants.
The Creole set menu includes mango salad, seared tuna steaks, Creole chicken curry, aubergine fritters and other local dishes

The rupee is the currency of the Seychelles

It is the law in the Seychelles that tourists pay for hotels -- including meals and drinks had there -- with cash in the form of major foreign currency or credit card.
Euro is the most widely-accepted foreign currency, and you will see prices listed in both Euros and US dollars.
If exchanging currencies, do it at a bank, authorised money dealers, or with your hotel cashier. It is a criminal offence to change money with any person or business other than those authorised to do so and who are mentioned above.

The best months to visit Seychelles

Seychelles Climate

Seychelles luxury sailing are available all year round, but the sea is calmer between April and October, the climate drier, slightly cooler. The wettest months being January and February but April and May are green and verdant, so Best time to visit Seychelles is April through to October during the drier months, because The long rains run from November through to March. Temperatures are relatively constant at 27°C (winter) to 30°C (summer). Seychellois water temperature is always between at 23°C – 27°C and swimming is always exceptionally pleasant, winter or summer.

Skipper

is a professional with command over the boat and the crew. His job is to take care of the safety of the boat and everyone onboard. Skipper’s primary duties involve boat maintenance including small repairs during sailing and taking care of the paperwork. His additional duties involve taking care of where you can dock your boat, as well as finding a safe anchorage and following daily forecast. The skipper is also in charge of cleaning the deck and other exteriors. The purpose of a skipper onboard your boat is so that he can take care of all these things, so you don’t have to. He is there to care for your safety, and to use his extensive knowledge so that you could enjoy every moment of your trip, without a single care in the world. You are obliged to provide the skipper with food and accommodation for the duration of your trip.

Host

Duties of a hostess are dependent on whether she is employed alone, or with a skipper and additional crew members. A host will take your week to a whole new level. Primary responsibilities of a hostess are to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the boat. In the absence of a chef, a hostess is in charge of preparing and serving simple meals. Her morning duties involve preparing and serving breakfast and then taking care of the cleanliness of the interior. You are obliged to provide the hostess with food and accommodation, as well as cleaning supplies Hosts can be added on to any yacht you choose, as long as there is a cabin for them to sleep.

Cook/Chef

Employing a professionally trained chef makes him in charge of all guest and crew meals, as well as provisioning and galley management. He is not in charge of cleanliness of your cabin, the bathroom and the interior in general as a hostess is, but where having a hostess provides you with the minding of cleanliness, a breakfast and one meal a day, having a chef guarantees you three gastronomic experiences a day

Safety regulation

It is strictly forbidden to carry weapons or drugs on board.

Please note that the yacht may cross various borders and that therefore the coastguard searches yachts in the fight against drugs now and again. The captain has the right at any time to dismiss people from the boat who do not respect the instructions of visiting countries, carry weapons or drugs, disturb the life on board in any way, or put the crew, the guests or the yacht under any kind of danger. The captain in such a case is obliged to inform the appropriate public authorities. In such a case, or if the guest wishes to leave the boat, no travelling expenses will be refunded.
